Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 für Laptops (GN20-S7) ist eine mobile Gaming-Grafikkarte der unteren Mittleklasse. Sie bietet mit 2.048 Shader sogar mehr Kerne als die RTX 2060, aber der Speicherbus wurde deutlich beschnitten (nur 64 Bit). Dadurch kann auch ein niedriger Stromverbrauch errreicht werden (30 - 45 Watt TGP). Je nach Variante erreicht die GPU einen Boost-Speed von 1155 - 1477 MHz. Die bis zu 4 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher werden mit 14 GBps getaktet und erreichen damit 112 GB/s maximalen Datendurchsatz. Im Unterschied zur baugleichen GeForce MX570 bietet die RTX 2050 Support für Raytracing und DLSS.
Performance
Die Performance der mobilen GeForce RTX 2050 sollte durch den beschnittenen Speicherbus deutlich unterhalb der mobilen RTX 2060 liegen. Erste Benchmarks zeigen eine Leistung knapp oberhalb der GeForce 1650 und auf dem Niveau der baugleichen GeForce MX570 . Dank DLSS kann bei einigen Spielen aber eine höhere Qualität erreicht werden.
Der GA107 Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann
AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 (Ryzen 2000/3000) ► remove from comparison
Die AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 ist eine integrierte Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie befindet sich in den Ryzen 5 APUs, welche gegen Ende 2017 vorgestellt wurden. Die GPU basiert auf die Vega Architektur (5. Generation GCN) und bietet 8 der 11 CUs (= 512 der 704 Shader) mit bis zu 1100 MHz (im Ryzen 5 2500U). Die Leistung ist abhängig vom konfigurierten TDP (12-25 Watt zum Launch), der Taktung im Modell, der Kühlung und vom verbauten Hauptspeicher. Von schnellem Dual-Channel DDR4-2400 Speicher dürfte die Grafikkarte deutlich profitieren (im Gegensatz zu auch möglichen DDR4-2133 Single-Channel).
Die Vega Architektur bietet einige Verbesserungen zur Polaris Generation und unterstützt nun z.B. DirectX 12 Feature Level 12_1. Mehr Informationen dazu finden Sie in unserem Raven Ridge Architekturartikel .
Die Leistung dürfte sich theoretisch auf dem Niveau der GeForce 940MX befinden. Durch den fehlenden eigenen Grafikspeicher, ist die Performance jedoch pro Spiel und Setting unterschiedlich. Generell eignet sie sich aber eher für anspruchslose Spiele wie League of Legends oder Counter Strike: Go.
Der Stromverbrauch ist dank 14nm Prozess und ausgeklügelten Stromsparmechanismen relativ gering (laut AMD) und daher eignet sich die Grafikkarte auch für dünne und leichte Notebooks.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q ► remove from comparison
Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 mit Max-Q Design ist eine mobile High-End-Grafikkarte der Turing-Serie. Sie ist gedacht für dünne und relativ leichte Gaming Laptops und wahrscheinlich etwa 10-15% langsamer als eine normale mobile RTX 2080 (wie bei der 10er Generation).
Anscheinend gibt es zwei Varianten der RTX 2080 Max-Q, eine mit 80 Watt TDP und 735 - 1095 MHz und eine schnellere mit 90 Watt TDP mit 990 - 1230 MHz Kerntakt (Basis - Boost). Beide Varianten takten mit 6 GHz den GDDR6 Speicher (im Vergleich zu 7 GHz bei der normalen RTX 2080).
Im Vergleich zur normalen GTX 1080 gibt es noch weitere Unterschiede als den Takt. Der Treiber wurde auf Effizienz (und nicht Leistung) optimiert (nur für die Max-Q Modelle), optimierte Spannungswandler für 1V Betreib, high-end Kühlungsmethoden und eine 40 dB Grenze für die Lüfterlautstärke (mit Taktanpasssungen um dies jederzeit zu gewährleisten) zeichnen die Max-Q Variante aus.
Features
Der TU104-Chip wird in 12nm gefertigt und bietet eine Reihe neuer Features, wie DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) und Real Time Ray Tracing. Dadurch lassen sich vor allem Beleuchtungseffekte sehr viel realistischer darstellen. Weiterhin gibt es Support für DisplayPort 1.4 (ready), HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) sowie H.265 Video De- und Encoding (PlayReady 3.0).
Performance
Die Spieleleistung sollte leicht oberhalb der mobilen RTX 2070 liegen und deutlich unterhalb der normalen RTX 2080. Damit ist sie RTX2080 Max-Q die zweitschnellste mobile Grafikkarte und auch für 4K Gaming geeignet.
