Die Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ist eine High-End-Grafikkarte für Desktops aus Anfang 2017. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ist sie die schnellste Consumer Grafikkarte und kann die auf den gleichen GP102 Chip basierende Titan X (Pascal) um etwa 5% abhängen. Im direkten Vergleich zur Titan X bietet sie gleich viele Shader, jedoch eine etwas unterschiedliche Speicherausstattung. Durch die höhere Taktung (11 GBps) des Speichers kann jedoch der eingesparte Kontroller wieder gut gemacht werden. Der höhere Boost-Takt verhilft der GTX 1080 Ti zum angegebenen knappen Vorsprung. Im Vergleich zur schwächeren GTX 1080, ist die Ti Version etwa 35% schneller laut Nvidia. Der TDP ist wie bei der Titan X mit 250 Watt angegeben. Ein neuer Kühler soll leiser und effizienter arbeiten.

AMD Radeon Pro WX 4130

Die AMD Radeon Pro WX 4130 ist eine DirectX-12-Grafikkarte der Mittel-Klasse für mobile Workstations (Notebooks), die Anfang 2017 vorgestellt wurde. Die AMD Radeon Pro (ehemals FirePro) Serie ist das Gegenstück zur Quadro Serie von Nvidia und bietet zertifizierte Treiber für professionelle 3D Anwendungen (CAD und DCC). Durch einige freigeschaltene Features und Optimierungen ist die Performance in derartigen Programmen dadurch deutlich besser als bei Consumer Radeon Grafikchips. Die Radeon Pro WX 4130 bietet 640 Shader und basiert daher wahrscheinlich auf den selben Chip wie die Radeon Pro 450 im MacBook Pro 15. Die Taktraten sind jedoch mit 1053 versus 800 MHz deutlich höher, wodurch eher die Performance der Radeon Pro 455 (768 Shader be 855 MHz) erreicht wird. Ob der ältere Polaris 11 oder schon der neuere Polaris 12 (in Vollausbau) oder Polaris 21 verwendet wird, ist nicht klar. Die Features aller Chips sind jedoch vergleichbar.

AMD Radeon Pro WX 3200

Die AMD Radeon Pro WX 3200 Mobile ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für Laptops. Sie basiert auf den kleinen Polaris 12 Chip und entspricht damit der Consumer Radeon RX 550. Der Chip trägt den Codenamen Lexa und taktet die 640 Shader mit 1082 MHz. Der Speicher ist mit 1000 MHz (6000 MHz GDDR5 effektiv) getaktet und mit einem 128 Bit Bus angebunden.

Die AMD Radeon Pro (ehemals FirePro) Serie ist das Gegenstück zur Quadro Serie von Nvidia und bietet zertifizierte Treiber für professionelle 3D Anwendungen (CAD und DCC). Durch einige freigeschaltene Features und Optimierungen ist die Performance in derartigen Programmen dadurch deutlich besser als bei Consumer Radeon Grafikchips.

Die WX3200 nutzt die Polaris Architektur (4. Generation GCN) der 400er Serie und bietet lediglich einen leicht verbesserten Prozess der höhere Taktraten erlaubt. Mehr Informationen zur Polaris Architektur finden sie hier in unserem Fokusartikel.

Die mobile WX 3200 sollte alle Features der Polaris Chips unterstützen, so wie DisplayPort 1.4 (ready), HDMI 2.0b, neue H.265 Video-En- und Decoder und Architekturverbesserungen.
