Der MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (MT6833V/MT6833GP) ist ein ARM-basiertes SoC (System-on-a-Chip), welches bei TSMC im 6-nm-Prozess gefertigt wird. Es wurde speziell für den Einsatz in Android-Smartphones entworfen und sortiert sich leistungstechnisch in die untere Mittelklasse ein. Es unterstützt alle aktuellen Mobilfunkstandards, inklusive 5G-Sub6.

Das SoC ist baugleich mit dem MediaTek Dimensity 810, der einzige Unterschied ist, dass der Dimensity 6080 mit einer Kamera-Auflösung bis zu 108 Megapixel zurechtkommt.

Die CPU arbeitet insgesamt mit acht Kernen, welche sich in zwei Cluster unterteilen. Der eine besitzt zwei ARM Cortex-A76-Leistungskerne mit jeweils bis zu 2,4 GHz, der andere sechs ARM Cortex-A55-Energiesparkerne mit jeweils bis zu 2,0 GHz. Als Arbeitsspeicher kann LPDDR4x-RAM mit 2.133 MHz verwendet werden, als interner Speicher wird UFS 2.2 unterstützt.

In puncto Konnektivität stehen Dual-5G (Sub6) mit einer theoretischen Spitzen-Download-Geschwindigkeit von bis zu 2,77 GBit/s zur Verfügung, außerdem Wi-Fi 5 und Bluetooth 5.1.

Die integrierte Grafikeinheit ARM Mali-G57 MP2 kann Displays mit einer Auflösung von bis zu 2.520 x 1.080 Pixeln (Full HD+) und einer Bildwiederholrate von bis zu 120 Hz befeuern.

Der Apple M1 ist ein System on a Chip (SoC) von Apple, der im Late 2020 MacBook Air und MacBook Pro 13 verbaut wird. Er integriert 8 Prozessorkerne in zwei Cluster. Vier schnelle Performance-Kerne mit 192 KB Instruction-Cache, 128 KB Data-Cache und 12 MB geteilten L2-Cache und vier Effizienz-Kerne mit 128 KB Instruction-Cache, 64 KB Data-Cache und 4 MB geteilten L2-Cache. Weiters integriert der SoC 16 MB Sstem Level Cache (geteilt mit der GPU).

Laut Apple sind die Performance-Cores die aktuell schnellsten der Welt und die Energieeffizienz deutlich besser als derzeitige Laptop-Chips. Die Stromsparkerne takten mit 600 - 2064 MHz, die Performance mit 600 - 3204 MHz.

Der M1 wird in zwei TDP Bereichen ausgeliefert. 10 Watt für das MacBook Air mit passiver Kühlung und wahrscheinlich wieder um die 28 Watt im MacBook Pro 13 und Mac Mini mit Lüfter.

Die integrierte Grafikkarte bietet 8 Kerne (im Einstiegs MacBook Air sind nur 7 aktiviert). Wenn alle 8 genutzt werden, bietet die GPU 128 Ausführungseinheiten mit einer theoretischen Leistung von 2,6 Teraflops. Dadurch soll sie die schnellsten iGPUs von Intel und AMD schlagen können (laut Apple).

Weiters bietet der Chip eine 16-Kern-Neural-Engine für AI-Beschleunigung mit bis zu 11 TOPS Rohleistung, die Secure Enclave, Unified Memory Architecture, Thunderbolt / USB 4 Controller, ISP und Media De- und Encoder.

Der Chip wird im modernen 5nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll sehr energieffizient sein. Mit 16 Milliarden Transistoren ist der Chip sehr groß (doppelt so viele Transistoren wie die Tiger Lake U-Serie).

UNISOC Tangula T760

Der UniSoc T760 Tanggula ist ein Mittelklasse-SoC mit 8 Prozessorkernen in zwei Clustern. Die vier großen ARM Cortex-A76-Kerne werden so wie die kleinen vier ARM Cortex-A55-Kerne mit 2 GHz getaktet. Der schnellere UniSoc T770 bietet im Vergleich deutlich schneller getaktete A76 Cores.

Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt LPDDR4/4X mit bis zu 2133 MHz (2x 16 Bit). Der integrierte ISP unterstützt zwei Hauptkameras und 2 Nebenkameras (eine bis zu 108 MPixel). Als integrierte Grafikkarte kommt eine ARM Mali-G57 MC4 (4 Kerne) zum Einsatz. Weiters unterstützt der T760 auch AI Beschleunigung mit bis zu 4,8 TOPS Spitzenleistung.

Der Chip wird im aktuellen 6nm Prozess gefertigt und sollte eine gute Stromeffizienz aufweisen.
