Der I ntel Celeron J4125 ist ein Ende 2019 vorgestellter Quad-Core-SoC, der hauptsächlich in preiswerten Mini-PCs verbaut wird. Er taktet mit 2 bis 2,7 GHz (Einzelkern Burst) und gehört der Gemini-Lake-Refresh-Plattform an. Neben den vier CPU-Kernen integriert der Chip auch eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit sowie einen DDR4/LPDDR4-Speichercontroller (Dual-Channel, 2.400 MHz). Der SoC kann nicht ausgetauscht werden, da er direkt mit dem Mainboard verlötet wird (BGA Package).
Architektur
Die Prozessor-Architektur der Gemini Lake SoCs wurde im Vergleich zum Vorgänger leicht weiterentwickelt. Intel nennt sie nun Goldmont Plus Kerne und verdoppelt den Level 2 Cache von 2 auf 4 MB. Trotzdem sollte die Pro-MHz-Leistung noch deutlich hinter den aktuellen Kaby-Lake Prozessoren bleiben.
Performance
Die CPU-Leistung des Celeron J4125 mit 4 CPU-Kernen und einer Taktrate von 2 bis 2,7 GHz dürfte stark vom Kühlsystem abhängen. In Mini-PCs ist die Kühlung meist besser und auch aktiv geregelt (per Lüfter), wodurch der SoC z.b. den Celeron N4120 für Notebooks abhängen kann. Trotzdem gehört die Leistung zur absoluten Einsteigerklasse in 2020. Der J4125 bewältigt jedoch problemlos die meisten Alltagsanwendungen (Office, Browsing) und ist auch für moderates Multitasking geeignet.
Grafik
Die integrierte UHD Graphics 600 unterscheidet sich nur durch die verbesserten Displayanschlüsse von der HD Graphics 500. Die Grafikkarte taktet mit 250 - 750 MHz und damit relativ hoch für Gemini-Lake-SoCs.
Weiterhin integriert der Chip eine fortschrittliche Videoeinheit, die auch die hardwarebeschleunigte Wiedergabe von VP9- und H.265-Material (8 Bit Farbtiefe) beherrscht.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der gesamte SoC wird von Intel wie der Vorgänger mit einer TDP von 10 Watt spezifiziert und damit deutlich höher als der mobilen Celeron N4120 mit 6 Watt.

Der Intel Core i5-1145G7 ist ein sparsamer Quad-Core-SoC für Notebooks und Ultrabooks, der auf der Tiger-Lake-Architektur basiert und Anfang 2021 vorgestellt wurde. Tiger Lake wird im verbesserten 10nm+-Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt und nutzt die neuen Willow Cove CPU-Kerne mit einer neuen Architektur. Die Basis-Taktraten sind je nach TDP Einstellung unterschiedlich. Bei 12 Watt 1,1 GHz und bei maximalen 28 Watt taktet er mit garantierten 2,6 GHz. Der Boost Takt ist bei allen mit maximal 4,4 GHz spezifiziert.
Eine weitere Neuerung ist die integrierte Intel Xe G7 Grafikkarte (Gen 12) mit 80 EUs und bis zu 1,3 GHz welche eine deutlich höhere Leistung wie die alte Iris Plus G7 in Ice Lake bietet.
Wie bisher wird auch weiterhin WLAN (Wifi 6) und Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 im Chip teilintegriert für schnellere, günstige und platzsparende Implementierungen in Notebooks. Weiters unterstützt die CPU vPro-Management-Features .

Intel Core i3-1115G4 ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i3-1115G4 ist ein sparsamer Dual-Core-SoC für Notebooks und Ultrabooks, der auf der Tiger-Lake-Architektur basiert und im September 2020 vorgestellt wurde. Tiger Lake wird im verbesserten 10nm+-Verfahren (SuperFin genannt) bei Intel gefertigt und nutzt die neuen Willow Cove CPU-Kerne mit einer neuen Mikroarchitektur. Der Intel Core i5-1115G4 bietet zwei Kerne mit Hyperthreading (4 Threads) und 3 GHz Basistakt bis 4,1 GHz Turbo-Takt (auch wenn beide Kerne genutzt werden).
Eine weitere Neuerung ist die integrierte Intel UHD Graphics Xe G4 Grafikkarte (Gen 12) welche eine deutlich höhere Leistung wie die alte Iris Plus G7 in Ice Lake bieten soll. Im 1115G7 bietet die UHD Graphics jedoch nur 48 der 96 EUs bei einem Takt von 400 - 1250 MHz.
Wie bisher wird auch weiterhin WLAN (Wifi 6) und nun auch Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 und 4 Lanes PCIe 4 im Chip (teil-)integriert für schnellere, günstige und platzsparende Implementierungen in Notebooks.
Der TDP kann bei den UP3 CPUs von 12 - 28 Watt gewählt werden und dadurch eignet sich die CPU auch für dünne und leichte Notebooks.
