Der Intel Celeron J4025 ist ein Ende 2017 vorgestellter Dual-Core-SoC, der hauptsächlich in preiswerten Mini-PCs verbaut wird. Er taktet mit 2 bis 2,9 GHz (Einzelkern Burst) und gehört der Gemini-Lake-Plattform an. Im Vergleich zum mobilen Celeron N4020 takten die beiden CPU Kerne höher (+100 Boost, deutlich höherer Basistakt) und bietet einen höheren TDP. Die Fertigung erfolgt wie beim Vorgänger Apollo Lake in einem 14-Nanometer-Prozesses mit FinFETs. Neben den vier CPU-Kernen integriert der Chip auch eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit sowie einen DDR4/LPDDR4-Speichercontroller (Dual-Channel, 2.400 MHz, max. 8 GB). Der SoC kann nicht ausgetauscht werden, da er direkt mit dem Mainboard verlötet wird (BGA Package).
Im Vergleich zum Celeron N3350 , bietet der J4025 leicht verbesserte CPU Kerne mit 500 MHz höherem Boost Takt, doppeltem L2 Cache, ein kleineres Package, neuere Displayanschlüsse und ein teilweise integriertes WLAN Modul (Wireless-AC9560 mit Companion Module).
Architektur
Die Prozessor-Architektur der Gemini Lake SoCs wurde im Vergleich zum Vorgänger leicht weiterentwickelt. Intel nennt sie nun Goldmont Plus Kerne und verdoppelt den Level 2 Cache von 2 auf 4 MB. Trotzdem sollte die Pro-MHz-Leistung noch deutlich hinter den aktuellen Kaby-Lake Prozessoren bleiben.
Performance
Die CPU-Leistung des Celeron J4025 mit 2 CPU-Kernen und einer Taktrate von 2 bis 2,9 GHz ist nur minimal schneller als der mobile N4020 . Der J4025 bewältigt jedoch problemlos die meisten Alltagsanwendungen (Office, Browsing), jedoch ist Multitasking nur beschränkt möglich.
Grafik
Die integrierte UHD Graphics 600 unterscheidet sich nur durch die verbesserten Displayanschlüsse von der HD Graphics 500.
Weiterhin integriert der Chip eine fortschrittliche Videoeinheit, die auch die hardwarebeschleunigte Wiedergabe von VP9- und H.265-Material (8 Bit Farbtiefe) beherrscht.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der gesamte SoC wird von Intel wie der Vorgänger mit einer TDP von 10 Watt spezifiziert und damit 4 Watt höher als die mobile Variante, die auch lüfterlos betrieben werden kann.

Der Intel Core i5-1240P ist eine Mid-Range Notebook-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und alle 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 1,7 bis 4,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,2 - 3,3 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Im Vergleich zum Core i5-1250P , bietet der i5-1240P eine geringer getaktete iGPU (-100 MHz) und nur "Essentials" vPro Management Features.
Performance
Durch die 12 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten 28 Watt 4-Kerner der Tiger Lake Serie liegen (wie z.B. dem i5-1145G7 ). Im Vergleich zu der H-Serie wird bei längerer Last aber der TDP die Leistung limitieren. Bei der Einzelkernperformance sollte der i5-1240P dank der neuen Architektur auch ähnlich schnelle Tiger Lake CPUs abhängen können.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1250P sind 80 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,3 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i5-1240P ist mit 28 Watt TDP und 64 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).

Der Intel Core i7-1260P ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde.
