Der AMD Athlon 300U ist ein Mobilprozessor für schlanke Notebooks. Der SoC beinhaltet 2 Zen Kerne (Quad-Core CPU) mit SMT / Hyperthreading und dadurch können 4 Threads gleichzeitig abgearbeitet werden. Er ist sehr ähnlich zum höher getakteten (+200 MHz CPU und GPU) Ryzen 3 3200U. Im Vergleich zu den Ryzen 3000er APUs und dem Athlon Pro 300U ist der Athlon 300U noch in 14nm und nicht in 12nm gefertigt.
Bezüglich der Performance sollte sich der 300U etwas unter dem Ryzen 3 2200U einsortieren sollte.
Die integrierte Radeon RX Vega 3 bietet 3 CUs (192 Shader) mit bis zu 1000 MHz.

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 ► remove from comparison
Der AMD Ryzen 5 1400 ist ein Desktop-Prozessor mit 4-Kernen und Hyperthreading (SMT). Anfang 2017 ist er der schwächste Ryzen 5 Prozessor, mit 65 Watt TDP jedoch ebenso hoch spezifiziert wie z.b. der Ryzen 5 1600 6-Kerner.
Der Ryzen 5 1400 taktet mit 3,2 GHz Basistakt und kann per Turbo auf bis zu 3,4 GHz takten (maximal 2 Kerne) bzw per XFR auf 3,45 GHz (ebenfalls maximal 2 Kerne). Bei Last von 3-4 Kernen können maximal 3,2 GHz erreicht werden.
Bei Spielen kann der auf die Zen Architektur basierende Prozessor nicht vollends überzeugen. Fehlende Anpassungen der Spielehersteller sind laut AMD hieran schuld.
AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B ► remove from comparison
Der AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B ist die embedded Variante des Consumer Ryzen 5 2500U . Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen Kerne (Quad-Core CPU) die von 2 - 3,6 GHz getaktet werden. Der TDP ist konfigurierbar zwischen 12 und 25 Watt (15 Watt nominell) und daher eignet sich die APU auch für schlanke und leichte Notebooks. Der L3-Cache beträgt beim 2500U 4 MB. Weiters ist eine Radeon RX Vega 8 getaufte Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs (512 Shader) integriert. Der integrierte Speichercontroller unterstützt maximal Dual-Channel DDR4-2400.
