Die Intel Arc A770M (Device ID 5690) ist eine dedizierte Mittelklasse-Grafikkarte von Intel für Notebooks. Sie basiert auf dem ACM-G10 Chip und bietet alle 32 Xe-Kerne (512 ALUs), 32 Ray-Tracing-Units, 6 MB L1-Cache und 16 MB L2-Cache. Die Taktraten können von 300 MHz über 1650 MHz (Gaming) bis 2050 MHz (Turbo) rangieren. Das Speicherinterface ist 256 Bit breit und unterstützt 16 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit 16 Gbps. Der TGP ist zwischen 120 und 150 Watt je nach Modell.

Die Performance der A770M liegt in der oberen Mittelklasse von dedizierten Grafikkarten für Notebooks. Die genauen Leistungsdaten sind noch nicht ganz klar, der Stromverbrauch spielt, aber in der Klasse einer RTX 3070 und daher schätzen wir die Performance etwas darunter ein.

Der ACM-G10 Chip wird bei TSMC in 6 nm gefertigt (N6 Prozess), nutzt ein BGA2660 Interface (aufgelöstet), bietet 21,7 Mrd. Transistoren und ist 406 mm² groß. Er integriert zwei Media Engines für VP9, AVC, HEVC, AV1 8k60 12-Bit HDR Dekodierung und 8k 10-Bit HDR Enkodierung. Die integrierten 4 Display Pipes unterstützen 4x 4k120 HDR, HDMI 2.0B, DP 2.0 10G und Adaptive Sync. 

Mittels Deep Link kann mit einer CPU der 12. Generation (Alder Lake) Dynamic Power Share genutzt werden.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU

Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU oder 3080 Ti Mobile (für Laptops, GN20-E8-A1) ist Anfang 2022 die schnellste Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie basiert auf den GA103S Ampere Chip und bietet 7424 Shader und 16 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit einem 256 Bit Grafikbus (mit 12 oder 14 Gbps). Sie unterstützt PCIe 4.0 und ist in verschiedenen Varianten (aktuell 80 - 165 Watt bekannt) verfügbar. Je nach TGP-Variante taktet die Grafikkarte im Boost von 1125 bis 1590 MHz. Die GPU unterstützt DirectX 12 Ultimate (12_2).

Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 80 - 95 Watt Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, Whispermode).

Die Leistung ist abhängig von der TGP-Variante und der verwendeten Kühlung. Durch die zusätzlichen Shader-Kerne sollte sie aber deutlich oberhalb der RTX 3080 Mobile liegen und damit auch anspruchsvolle Spiele in 4K flüssig darstellen können.

Der GA103 Chip bietet 7.680 FP32 ALUs wovon die Hälfte auch INT32 Befehle ausführen können (also 3.840 INT32 ALUs). Bei Turing konnten noch alle Shader FP32 oder INT32 ausführen. Weiters bietet der GA103 60 Raytracing Kerne und 240 Tensor Kerne (z.B. für DLSS). Der L2 Cache beträgt 4 MB und der PureVideo VP11 SIP unterstützt Feature Set K mit Hardware AV1 Dekodierung.

Der GA103S Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann (z.B. von AMD genutzt, aber auch für den professionellen GA100 Ampere Chip).

Intel Arc A750

Die Intel Arc A750 ist eine Mid-Range-Desktop-GPU und wird im 6 nm Verfahren bei TSMC gefertigt. Der Grafikprozessor verfügt über 3.854 Shadereinheiten, sowie über 8 GB GDDR6-VRAM mit einem 256-Bit-Interface (16 Gbps, 512 GB/s). Damit ist die Intel Arc A750 das zweitschnellste Grafikkartenmodell aus dem Hause Intel.

Features

Auf Basis der Alchemist-Architektur bietet Intel mit der Arc A750 das zweitschnellste Modell der Serie an. Im Preisbereich bis 250 Euro will Intel mit seinen Grafikkarten AMD und auch Nvidia unter Druck setzen. Features wie Ray Tracing werden ebenfalls unterstützt und auch Upscaling Features wie XeSS können mit DLSS und FSR konkurrieren. Dafür bietet die Intel Arc A750 448 Tensor Cores, welche wir auch schon bei den aktuellen Grafikkarten von Nvidia vorfinden. Mit der Unterstützung von AV1 ist die Grafikkarte vor allem für Content-Creator interessant. Das hardwareseitige Encodieren und Decodieren mit dem neuen Codec beherrschen aktuell nur die Ada Lovelace Modelle von Nvidia und die RDNA3-GPUs von AMD.

Performance

Die Leistung der Intel Arc A750 ist mit einer AMD Radeon RX 7600 vergleichbar. Mit neueren Spielen kommt das Modell aus dem Haus Intel deutlich besser zurecht. Mit aktivierten Raytracing kann sich die Intel Arc A750 sogar vor der AMD Radeon RX 7600 platzieren. Aufgrund der gezeigten Leistung ist die Intel Arc A750 für das 1080p-Gaming im Jahre 2023 gut geeignet.

Leistungsaufnahme

Die Leistungsaufnahme der Intel Arc A750 wird vom Hersteller mit 225 Watt (TGP) beziffert. Das ist etwas mehr als bei einer Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 oder der AMD Radeon RX 7600. In puncto Effizienz kann die Intel Arc A750 jedoch nicht überzeugen. Hier muss Intel etwas Nachbessern um mit dem Nachfolger aka "Battlemage" nicht den Anschluss zu verlieren.
