Intel Core i7-6820HQ ► remove from comparison Der Intel Core i7-6820HQ ist ein schneller Quad-Core-Prozessor für Notebooks auf Basis der Skylake-Architektur, der im September 2015 vorgestellt wurde. Neben den vier CPU-Kernen inklusive Hyper-Threading-Support, die mit 2,7 bis 3,6 GHz takten (4 Kerne: max. 3,2 GHz, 2 Kerne: max. 3,4 GHz), integriert der Prozessor auch eine HD Graphics 530 Grafikeinheit sowie einen Dual-Channel-Speichercontroller (DDR3L-1600/DDR4-2133). Die Fertigung erfolgt in einem 14-Nanometer-Prozess mit FinFET-Transistoren.
Einziger Unterschied zum sehr ähnlichen Schwestermodell Core i7-6820HK ist die zusätzliche Unterstützung der Verwaltungs-/Sicherheits-Features Intel vPro und TXT, wohingegen die Übertaktbarkeit (freier Multiplikator beim i7-6820HK) eingeschränkt wurde.
Architektur
Mit Skylake löst Intel sowohl Broadwell als auch Haswell ab und setzt damit in sämtlichen TDP-Klassen von 4,5 bis 45 Watt wieder auf ein einheitliches Kerndesign. Zu den diversen Verbesserungen der Skylake-Architektur gehören unter anderem vergrößerte Out-of-Order-Buffer, Optimierungen bei Prefetching und Sprungvorhersage sowie stärkere Zugewinne durch Hyper-Threading. Insgesamt fallen die Änderungen für einen "Tock", das heißt eine neue Mikroarchitektur, jedoch eher klein aus, sodass die Pro-MHz-Leistung nur um etwa 5 bis 10 Prozent (gegenüber Haswell) respektive unter 5 Prozent (gegenüber Broadwell) ansteigt.
Performance
Dank der gestiegenen Pro-MHz-Leistung sowie der 14-Nanometer-Fertigung, die eine konstante Ausnutzung des Turbo-Boost-Spielraumes ermöglicht, liegt der i7-6820HQ in etwa auf Augenhöhe mit dem Core i7-4900MQ (Haswell) und erreicht knapp den Core i7-5700HQ (Broadwell). Bei langanhaltender Volllast zieht der neue Skylake-Chip besonders deutlich gegenüber den Haswell-Vorgängern davon. Auch anspruchsvollste Anwendungen und exzessives Multitasking werden problemlos bewältigt.
Grafikeinheit
Die integrierte Grafikeinheit namens HD Graphics 530 repräsentiert die "GT2"-Ausbaustufe der Skylake-GPU (Intel Gen. 9). Die 24 Ausführungseinheiten, auch Execution Units oder EUs genannt, takten mit 350 bis 1.050 MHz und ermöglichen eine Performance etwa 20 Prozent oberhalb der alten HD Graphics 4600 . Aktuelle Spiele des Jahres 2015 werden damit in niedrigen, selten auch mittleren Einstellungen flüssig dargestellt. Leistungsaufnahme
Entsprechend seiner TDP von 45 Watt ist der Chip vorrangig in größeren Notebooks ab etwa 15 Zoll zu finden. Optional kann die TDP auch auf 35 Watt abgesenkt werden (cTDP down), was allerdings die Performance mindert.
Intel Core i7-11800H ► remove from comparison Der Intel Core i7-11800H ist ein Octa-Core-Prozessor für Gaming-Notebooks und Workstations. Er basiert auf die Tiger-Lake-Architektur (H45) und wurde im 2. Quartal 2021 präsentiert. Der Chip bietet einen TDP von 45 Watt (konfigurierbar). Die Prozessorkerne können von 2,3 bis 4,6 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo) takten. Alle Kerne gemeinsam können maximal 4,2 GHz erreichen. Der Prozessor bietet 24 MB Level 3 Cache und unterstützt DDR4-3200 Speicher. Die integrierte Grafik basiert auf die Xe-Architektur und ist UHD Graphics benannt (32 EUs). Im 11800H taktet sie von 350 - 1450 MHz. Der Chip wird im neuen 10nm SuperFin Prozess gefertigt.
Dank der neuen Tiger Lake Architektur sollte die Leistung deutlich oberhalb des Vorgängers, dem Intel Core i7-10875H (Comet Lake-H, 2,3 - 5,1 GHz, 16 MB L3) liegen (Einzel- und Mehrkernperformance). Damit sollte die Performance vergleichbar sein eines einem aktuellem Ryzen 7 5800H (Zen 3; 3,2 - 4,4 GHz; 16 MB L3), oder auch etwas langsamer.
Wie bei den kleineren Tiger-Lake-Chips wird auch hier WLAN (Wifi 6E) und Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 im Chip (teil-)integriert für schnellere, günstige und platzsparende Implementierungen in Notebooks. Weiters bietet der i7-11800H 20 PCIe 4.0 Lanes.
Der TDP ist bei 2,3 GHz Basistakt mit 45 Watt spezifiziert und kann auf 35 Watt und dadurch 1,9 GHz verringert werden (cTDP). Dadurch eignet sich die CPU am besten für große und schwere Notebooks.
